Ready to party on a school night!

Utterly Engaged is having a launch party! They had me at cocktail reception & "swag bag of cool stuff". RSVP ASAP.

#1 thing you learned in kindergarten - SHARE!

How cool is The Broke-Ass Bride to make the Bride$hare site for all us to share all wedding-related resources and goods! I just signed up and so should you!

Looking for venues...

Engaged, now where to get married? No clue. Never thought about being in a wedding or what I would want in said wedding. Luckily my future sister in law (FSIL) asked us over happy hour one day, what we wanted from our wedding and she prefaces it by saying "don't say have fun" doh! So she gave us homework - make a list of the things that you want from a venue (see list to the left) Making this list really helped when reasearching venues & kept things in perspective.
I don't know about you guys but looking for a venue has not been fun for me, but these sites have made it bearable...

Delicious Planning

I love to make lists and bookmark pages, so I can understand why the creators of the social bookmarking site where you can save your bookmarks, tag them & share them call it Delicious.

Now you have access to all your bookmarks at all times! Plus you can share your bookmarks, and look through bookmarks of others & the best part is you can TAG them.

When you are planning your wedding you see so many sites and can easily lose track of where you found the information, that is where Delicious comes in to help out. I use it to tag sites wedding favors, reception sites, wedding blogs, wedding dress, invites, save the dates...the list goes on and on. When I want to look at all the wedding invitations I have found across the web I just look under the tag wedding invitations and there they all are !

I use two iPhone apps to view my delicious bookmarks.
I use Red Delicious because it allows me to see all my bookmarks, search for new ones and see what the popular bookmarks are.
I use Bookmarks because in addition to it allowing me to see my bookmarks, it also allows me to have a "favorite" list and right now that favorite list includes many of the websites that I have tagged with "wedding". This one is free and the one I use most.
I use delicious for everything not just planning the wedding, I use it to keep track of things I want to buy, places I want to go, travel sites etc etc. Seriously one of the best online and FREE tools online that keeps me organized.

First Post

Enjoy The Ride
Originally uploaded by PamelaAlexis
My first post what what! After being so inspired by sooo many wedding blogs out there that are flooding my google reader, & debating whether to start one or not, I finally decided to follow Nike's age old advice and "Just Do It!". I started thinking seriously about it after The Budget Savy Bride and 10,000 Wedding both said in the same week to start a wedding blog, and it reminded me of the movie Fools Rush In with Salma Hayak and Mathew Perry where a priest on the street tells Mathew Perry "there are signs everywhere", so I took it as a sign and here we are! This blog is meant to be an outlet for planning my wedding in the Westside and I hope that I can provide you guys with some ideas and we can learn together on how to plan our wedding. Hope you enjoy the ride.
